About Us

Hill Medical Centre opened in 1989 by Dr Nofreet Dawood as a solo practitioner.  Since that time we have had numerous upgrades and many services added.  The most recent being the new building at the rear of the property where all the Allied Health and some doctors consult.  We have changed our name to Hill Medical Services in 2011.

Hill Medical Services is committed to excellence in all aspects of healthcare by providing its patients with a high standard of care for the benefit of each patient’s health and well being.

Practice Philosophy

Our aim is to give our patients the highest possible quality of care, by ensuring excellence in all aspects of our practice. We endeavour to provide patients with the best and most current treatments, methods, materials and equipment within our resource capabilities to ensure that the patients receive the high quality of service they have come to expect. We believe that patients come first. Teamwork is highly valued and encouraged within the practice to promote a harmonious and productive environment. We hold great importance in ethical and responsible behaviour as essential to maintain the trust and loyalty of our patients and staff.

Vision

Our aim is to provide excellent, quality healthcare. We would like to offer the patient a clinic where they can be looked after in all aspects of their health. Where they feel that they are important and we genuinely care about their health and wellbeing. We want to provide a positive, caring and efficient environment for all team members and practitioners so that they all feel that this practice cares about them.

Every patient matters, everyday.

Changes to billings from 7th August 2023

Hill Medical Services has proudly been a bulk billing clinic that accepts walk-ins over the last thirty something years. We have always believed in functioning as part of the Medicare system and serving the community in a way where they feel no burden of cost.

Unfortunately, Medicare rebates alone are not sufficient to meet the demands of a well-functioning General Practice, making the work that we do under-appreciated and unsustainable.

As a clinic, we have resisted the change to mixed billings for many years. Where the majority of the clinics in our local area have moved, we attempted to remain sustainable without passing on any cost to our local community.

We have decided however, that the move to a mixed billing model is unavoidable if we are to continue our service to the community.
